Colin(Collie)Raymond MacKay August 11, 1952-December 23, 2020 passed away peacefully at home. Colin was the eldest son of Raymond and Kathleen (Jordan)and grew up in Willowdale. Colin had a wanderlust for travel at an early age. He was a born traveller and found his passion behind the wheel of a truck at a tender age. He took great pride in his vocation and pleasure of seeing so much of North America. Collie was one of the few old school drivers who hauled many loads but a particularly meaningful one for him was a load of oranges from California, USA to Labrador City for Connor’s Transport. The load was delivered in record time in excellent condition with no speeding tickets. Colin was a very hard worker who gave 100 percent commitment to his job. He was known far and wide for his ability and skill. He had an excellent record and always was dependable to deliver on time and in perfect condition. Colin travelled thousands of miles, on the many highways and interstates with the love of his life Ruth (Skane) It gives us great comfort at this time to know they are reunited. Colin and Ruth enjoyed spending their summers in Willowdale and winters in Danvers, MA. They traded long haul living in for touring in Dad’s beloved Chevy truck Bessie.
